Utkal Tubers is a Bangalore based agri-tech company that targets the availability of high quality early generation truthfully labelled potato seeds to farmers catering to the table and processing markets in India. We are one of the leading suppliers of G3 seed potatoes in India.
Since our inception in 2016, we have built capacity to produce and market leading domestic varieties through a network of tissue culture labs, multiplication facilities for tuber production, controlled farming operations, state specific distribution networks and requisite management.
We plan to develop an end-to-end engagement model with farmers, from contracting farm tissue tubers until the harvest of pre-commercial seeds for subsequent sale in the Indian subcontinent, Africa, Middle East and South East Asia.
The company focus is on producing high-quality virus-free “seed potatoes” through its facilities it has set up in
India. The company plans to produce local varieties and high-quality mini tubers in state-of-the-art tissue culture
and aeroponics facilities and multiply them through its own development farms and supervised contract farming.
Our aeroponic facility is well equipped with a quality control lab and a dedicated team to check all the plants we grow
in the greenhouse are the best quality plants that are virus-free and healthy.
We have an experienced team of agronomists and technical experts dedicated to the production of the best quality
seed potatoes. These experts work closely with selected contracted growers to monitor crops throughout the
production process from planting to storage and grading. This ensures that we can offer the highest quality seeds
to customers.

Utkal Tubers is the first company to successfully grow seed potatoes in Gujarat and Assam, improving seed availability and making the previously expensive seeds affordable to farmers in these regions.
We are in collaboration with IPM Potato group, Ireland, an international leader in potato variety innovation to bring the best potato varieties not only to India but all around the world.
This year I cultivated Jyoti variety of potato using seeds from Utkal Tubers. I am happy with the performance of the seeds. I have harvested my crop at 98 days & received 44 MT yield/Hectare, highest in my village.”
I cultivated Pukhraj variety of potato using seeds from Utkal Tubers. The yield is very good compared to other companies. There is no disease observed & crop is clean. This seed was produced in Gujrat by Utkal Tubers & is as good as seed produced in Punjab.
